Biography

Martin Batdorf was born in Germany in 1698. He migrated to America between 1709-1711. His father died at sea, and Martin became an orphan at the NY Palatine colony. [1]

In 1716 he married Maria Elizabeth Walborn. Together they had 11 children. In birth order: Margaret Elizabeth, Hermanus, Adam, Christian, George Peter, Anna Catharine Maria, Maria Margretha, Henry, Martin, Maria Elisabetha, and Eva.
