Biography

Pamelia was born about 1836. In 1851 census records, she's listed as living in Shediac, Westmorland County, New Brunswick, Canada, which is potentially also where she was married to William Biggs in 1862.

The 1900 US Census lists her as living on Lopez Island, Washington, in the household of William Biggs (her husband). It lists her birth date as Jan 1838. It states that she is 62 years old, has been married for 40 years, was married in 1860, immigrated to the US in 1864, both of her parents were born in England, that she is the mother of 8 children, and that 4 of those children are still living.

Research Notes

Per 1880 Census, both of her parents were born in England, but she was born in New Brunswick.

Other family members may include Adelaide Biggs and John N Bateman-- both listed on marriage certificate of Pamelia Bateman and William Biggs as witnesses, but specific relationship to bride and/ or groom not listed.
