Extract: Frances Bateman (This is Frances Lum daughter of Charles Lum) of Herbert Place widow of John Bateman had at least five children Children Lum Bateman, Purefoy Bateman, Henry Bateman,Sarah Bateman and Henrietta Bateman per a deed of 12 Feb 1848 following the court case re Charles Lum's will. House mentioned 20 Duke St Dublin which Frances Lum Bateman inherited from her father. Also the son Henry Bateman had died young and unmarried by 1848. By Nov 1848 Frances was living in Elm Grove Ranelagh Dublin and in 1822 the family were living in Booterstown Co. Dublin. A deed of 1842 refers to Wm Purefoy Lum (living at an earlier date in Rosetown Co Kildare)assigning to Purefoy Bateman (son of Frances) Lands of Ballymorane in the Kings County (now Offaly) and more land at Rathlumber Coolestown Kings County which were demised by Sir Francis Lum of Lumsville Kings Co in 1785.
↑ Deed dated 1822 refers to his wife Frances as a widow (from lawsuit over the will of Frances's father).
