Biography
George Charles Bateman senior was born in London, England about 1853. He was the youngest son of George Bateman.
On 22nd February 1876 George married Johanna Beaton MacMillan at Milton in South Otago, New Zealand. [1][2]
The couple's son George Charles Bateman was born at Dunedin in Otago on 15th February 1877, his parents being named as George Charles and Johanna Beaton Bateman [3]
George died in New Zealand in 1931 aged 78. [4]
