Married to Charles Kirke in 1974 [1] She has two sons, Richard & George.

My mother said my family could not be done. After she died I found I could get back just into the 18th century on one line without leaving the house! (No internet connection at home then either!)

Then I took over my husband's family research when his father died. His family have been researching for several generations.

What did I do with my time before all this?

Hi Madelaine.

Thanks for recategorizing those two Bolton profiles. I was unaware that there was a NSW Infant Mortality category. I'll tuck that piece of info away for future use. These two were my father's siblings.

Thanks again,

Ian.

Hi.

Tell me please, here Newton Abbot is exactly a place of death or just registration district? In my opinion he could die in every civil parish in this district.

posted by Tommy Jantarek
I assume you are referring to Price-32926? Even a registration district is better than no location at all.
Why is lack of localization so bad? I don't understand it at all. There isn't register area on WikiTree, there is only birth and death places. For me it is two different thinks. Registration's fact can be explain in the biography. In my opinion providing incorrect information that will be published is worse than no information at all.
posted by Tommy Jantarek
You are not British, I assume? The birth or death has to have taken place within the registration district so that IS a valid location. Locations are vital - even a name such as "Clement Price" yields four results on wikitree and that number can only grow.

Hi Madelaine,

It's that time of the year again: check-in time! As England Project Leaders, we like to check in with you every six months or so to see how things are progressing. Back in May, we didn't ask for a response due to the rapid emergence of Covid-19 because we understood that people's lives were changing rapidly. While we are still living in a Covid world, we do need to hear back from you this time around.

First of all, how are you doing? What are you currently working on? Are you happy with the team(s) you're in, or would you like to change things up?

Secondly, we're looking for some feedback on the Google Group and our Discord server. Do you use either or both of these? If you don't use either, why not? Do you have any suggestions on how we can improve participation and collaboration, either generally or for you personally?

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Amy, Joan & Lizzie.
