Hi Glenn,

I went to add sources to William (unsourced), and decided to start with his wife since Bates is less common... It looks as though her husband's name was Thomas:

On 26 Dec 1859, Caroline Bates married Thomas S. Anderson in Noble, Ohio.<ref>"Ohio, County Marriages, 1789-2016", database with images, FamilySearch (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:X8DK-QPF : 29 September 2021), Thomas S. Anderson and Caroline Bates, 1859.</ref>
