Private Israel Bates served with 4th Regiment, Bristol County Militia, Massachusetts Militia during the American Revolution.

Israel Bates is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A007448.

Israel was born 15 Apr 1753 in Hingham. He was the son of Jacob and Mary (Clark) Bates.[1]

He moved to Attleboro and then to Dudley with his family.

Israel married 22 December 1773 in Attleboro, Bristol, Massachusetts to Mary Cooper.

In 1790. he was living in Dudley.[2]

In 1810 he was living in Upenheim, Montgomery, New York, United States[3]
