Biography
Peter was the son of John (Jack) Lavelle and Kathleen Bates. He trained as a watchmaker and then moved career into the probation service. He qualified at Birmingham University with certificates in Social Administration and Diploma in Social Work. He was 16 months older than Roger Bates and when Peter came to our house my brother Anthony & I would go to Dartmouth Park in West Bromwich near our house & have fun playing football, they were good days. He died in Scotland on June 12th 2008 from cancer.
