Hi Kathryn

After a long break, we are now getting the New Zealand Project back in action. Would you like to join the Kiwi Crew Discord server? This is where we are discussing how the project will be organised, though any major changes will be signposted in G2G. There is no obligation to take part in challenges, but you may like to discuss NZ history and work with others to create quality New Zealand profiles. We’re a really friendly bunch.

Hi Kathryn,

I chose to work on sourcing the world wide Meares family this weekend with the goal of improving the WikiTree in general and maybe find a connection to the Meares twig that I usually research.

I hope you won't mind that I added sources to a bunch of the Meares profiles that you manage. Please let me know if I got any of them wrong as it helps improve my skills.

Happy Tree Climbing,

Debi Bahamas & Florida Meares family researcher

Kathryn, do you happen to speak any other languages? Would you check out our languages template and add it to your biography? For example you might add

{{ Languages | en | fr-2 | ga-1 }}

to the top of your biography if you speak English natively, intermediate French and basic Irish, or you could use de-4 to specify near-native German or ru-1 for basic Russian, and so forth up to ten languages.

It really helps to know who speaks all the different languages used on WikiTree! If you only speak English, you're very welcome to use this text to make that clear:

{{ Languages | en }}

Thanks,

Karen

Hello Kathryn,

I hope you're enjoying WikiTree.

Our vision is to build a collaborative tree. Be sure to look for Duplicates before adding a profile, and always include Sources for your information.

The Help Index covers topics you may have questions about.

Our G2G Forum is where many of our generous members help each other out.

Visit our "Weekend Chat". Say hello, introduce yourself and see what other members are up to right now! http://www.wikitree.com/g2g/168542/weekend-chat-all-members-are-invited-31-july-1-aug-2015

Of course, I'm here to help in any way I’m able.

Excellent, thank you, Kathryn -

You're now a member of the WikiTree Community.

Please note we're trying to build one Collaborative Tree which means ONE profile per person. It is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add Profiles to WikiTree.

If you'd like any help, see the help section from the menu, top right, or visit the G2G forum. You might want to check out this 5-minute introductory video a member created.

Our Mentor Team is a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to help you.Thank you for helping to build our shared tree!

Hi, Kathryn -

I noticed you uploaded a GEDCOM; thank you so much! Here's a link to a great step-by-step explanation of the process, including screenshots that you might find helpful.

The help pages give lots of information about the process, good to start with 'Before you import a GEDCOM'.
