Biography

The 1911 Census states his birthplace as "Ganstead" just east of Hull. At this time his mother has re-married and he is living with her, his Step-father and the rest of the family at 1 Ashdene Villas, Brecon St, Hull.

The 1939 register shows him living at: 124 Durham Street, Kingston-upon-Hull, Yorkshire (East Riding). He is living with Wife Rose E (DOB 12/1/1909) and his occupation is shown as "Wirebound Case Making Machinist".
