Biography

William Perry was born in 1815.

He was christened at St Mary, Bitton, Gloucestershire, on 28 January 1816.^[1] The parish register records: "Jany 28, William Perry [child of] George & Sarah Battman, Upton, Yeoman."^[2]

In 1841 he is living with his widowed mother, Sarah, and siblings George and Martha aged 25 in Bitton, Gloucestershire^[3]

He marries Caroline Brimble on 8 February 1846 at St Philip & Jacob, Bristol. The marriage register records that he was of full age, a labourer residing in St Philips, and the son of George Batman, butcher.^[4][5]

In the 1851 Census he is living with his young family in Bristol, Gloucestershire^[6]

He passed away in 1858 and was buried in Bitton, St Mary, Gloucestershire on 20th Nov 1858 ^[7]
