Evelyn May Batt was probably born in the September quarter of 1904, when her birth was registered, at Hendon, Middlesex, England, to William and Elizabeth Batt (Batt-1003 and Kaiser-3355)[1].
The 1911 Census recorded Evelyn May Batt, 6, living with her mother, Elizabeth Sarah, 41, and siblings William Ewart, 16, Solicitors Junior Clerk, Logan Wynyard, 15, Electric Meter Works, Learner in Walumating Current Test Room, and Wilfred Vernon, Scholar[2]. Where her father was at the time of the Census, we don't know, but her mother declared herself "married," so William was probably elsewhere for work on that day.
Evelyn M. Batt married Sidney G. Coles, at Taunton, Somerset, England, in the December quarter of 1855[3].
