In 1841, the family was living in Wick St Lawrence, Somerset.[16] The family would remain here though at least 1861.[17][18] In 1871, Mary is a widowed washerwoman and living with her daughter Mercy in Worle.[19] By 1881, she is a pauper living alone in Worle at an almshouse.[20] She is last seen residing as a general servant in 1891 at the District Axbridge Union Workhouse.[21] Mary died in the March Quarter of 1892.[22]
