Francesco Battaglia was born about 1763 in Valledolmo, Palermo, Sicily, son of Vincenzo Battaglia (1730–1765) and Giuseppa Ferranti (~1730– ).
Francesco married Anna Maria Leta (born in 1770 in Valledolmo, Italy; daughter of Pasquale Leta and Stefana (Dispenza) Leta). Their children were:
Francesco died on June 8, 1824 in Valledolmo, aged 60.[1]
