Minnie was born 28 December 1900 in Montgomery County, North Carolina. She was the daughter of Henry Batten and Mary Russell.
She married Earnest Cell Warner on 7 October 1916 in Troy, North Carolina.[1] He passed away in 1929.
She married John Edward Ledbetter probably between 1947 and 1950.
Minnie traveled with her youngest son Lee to Germany in 1950 to attend the dedication of the Warner Barracks at the US base in Bamburg, Germany that was named in honor of her son Henry Fred Warner. Henry was posthumously awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for his extraordinary bravery during the Battle of the Bulge.[2]
She passed away in Troy, North Carolina on 27 October 1965.[3][4]
1910 - Albemarle, Stanly, North Carolina, United States.[5]
1920 - Montgomery, North Carolina, United States.[6]
1930 - Troy, Montgomery, North Carolina, United States.[7]

Research Note
Minnie might have been born in 1899 not 1900. There is an unnamed infant listed on the 1900 census that was born in December 1899. Either Minnie had a sibling sister that died before the 1910 census or her death certificate and FindAGrave memorial are in error.[9]
