Biography
Robert Battin (sic) was baptised on 20 February 1693 in Wapley cum Codrington by parents George and Mary. [1] Wapley is about 4 miles from Iron Acton.
Hannah Sherman married Robert Batten of Iron Acton on 13 May 1730 in Westerleigh. [2]
Hannah and Robert baptised son Sherman Batten in Iron Acton in 1735. [3]
Robert died in 1746 without making a Will. In his administration record it is noted he was a Yeoman, had been living in Iron Acton and his widow was Hannah. [4]
