Biography
Willis Battles was born on 29 January 1852, son of Francis Nelson Battles (1816–1863) and Mary Ann Lawson (1819–1870).
Willis married Hila L Finley. Their children were:
- James Andrew Battles (<1875–1961)
- Joseph Eli Battles (1878–1930)
- Mary Leanna Battles (1881–1926)
- Enoch Owen Battles (1885–1968)
- Charles Cleveland Battles (1887–1961)
Willis died on 25 March 1888, aged 36. He is buried in Antioch Cemetery in Zion, Arkansas.[1]
