Ivy was born about 1895 in New Zealand. She was the daughter of George Batty and Sarah Booker.[1]
In 1915, when she resided in Orari, Canterbury, she married Thomas Henry Loach in Geraldine, Canterbury. In 1940, when they celebrated their silver wedding anniversary, they resided at 12 Ashbury Avenue, Timaru.[2][3] Her younger sister Matel married Thomas's younger brother Arnold a couple of years later.
She died about 1959 aged 63 years old. [4]
