The marriage of Richard Batty & Mary Pickersgill [both of Ripon] was conducted on 26 August 1739 Ripon, St. Peter & St. Wilfred's [Cathedral] Church, Yorkshire.[3]
He died on 21 April 1787 & buried Richard Batty of Ilkley, miller at the west end of the churchyard on 24 April 1787 aged 68, Ilkley Yorkshire.[4]
