Biography

William Marius Baucom ^[1] was born 6 May 1865 in Wadesboro, Calloway Co., Kentucky, USA to William McKenzie Baucom and Nancy Elizabeth Stewart. ^[2] He married Evaleane Catherine Doughty (b. 26 Apr 1873, d. 21 Oct 1960) in 1877 when she was only 14. ^[3] (After William's death, she remarried two more times, the final time to Daniel Cross and is buried in Era, Cooke Co., Texas.) ^[4]

William and Evaleane had the following children: ^[2]

1. Era Baucom, b. Jan 1891, d. Jan 1892.
2. William Beuford Baucom, b. 2 May 1892, d. 27 Jan 1980.

Note: Find A Grave lists William's death date as 15 Jan 1890, yet both children attributed to him were born at least a year after this date. ^[2] Since the grave marker looks new, perhaps the year of death was specified in error. Other sources list the year as 1892, so it is that date that is used in this profile.
