Biography
Alvis Valentine Baucom was born on 3 January 1891 in Goose Creek, Union County, North Carolina. The first child of James Baucom and Laura (Smith) Baucom, he was named for both of his grandfathers Alvis Baucom and Valentine Smith. He died on 12 October 1891, shortly before his first birthday. He is buried in the Smith-Baucom family cemetery in Union County, North Carolina, United States of America.[1]
