Odella Blye Baucom was born in 1898 in Union County, North Carolina. She was the daughter of James Baucom. While her given names are unusual, she was found by these names on various census records and her death certificate[1]
Blye, daughter of Jim Baucom and Laura Baucom, married Walter Medlin on 13 July 1913 in Goose Creek township, Union County, North Carolina. On the marriage license, his parents were identified as Sylvida Medlin and Mary Medlin. All four parents were recorded as still living with their residences being Goose Creek township.[2]
Odella died on 29 April 1961 in Albemarle, Stanly County, North Carolina[1]
Blye Baucom shares a double gravestone with Walter Medlin in Liberty Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Oakboro, Stanly County, North Carolina.[4]
