Charley Baucom was born in November 1893 in North Carolina. He was the son of Alvis Alexander Baucom Jr. and Ella Amarantha (Smith) Baucom.[1][2]
In the 1900 census Charley (age 7) was the son of Baucom in Goose Creek Township, Union, North Carolina, United States.[3]
In the 1910 census Charles (age 16) was the single son of Alvis A Baucom in Goose Creek, Union, North Carolina, United States.[4]
Charles registered for the WWI Draft in 1917-1918 in Richmond, North Carolina, United States.[5]
Charles enlisted in the United States Navy on 18 December 1917 in Raleigh, Wake, North Carolina, United States. He trained to be a radio electrician in Cambridge, Massachusetts, then served aboard the USS Virginia through 11 November 1918.[6]
Charles (age 31), son of A A Baucom & Ella A Baucom, married Z Caroline Pollard (age 21) on 10 June 1925 in Carolina Township, Pitt County, North Carolina, United States. She was the daughter of W. A. and Zilphia Pollard.[1]
In the 1930 census Charles (age 36) was the married head of household in Farmville, Pitt, North Carolina, United States.[7]
In the 1940 census Charles (age 46) was the married head of household in Farmville, Pitt, North Carolina, United States.[8]
In the 1950 census Charles (age 56), Postal Clerk, was the married head of household in Farmville Township, Pitt, North Carolina, United States.[9]
Charles, son of Alvis Alexander Baucom & Ella Smith, died (age 84) on 9 December 1977 in Greenville, Pitt, North Carolina, United States.[2]
Charles was buried with Masonic rites in Hollywood Cemetery, Farmville, Pitt County, North Carolina.[10][11]
