Biography

Jacob was born on 18 May 1836 in Weimar, Thüringen, Germany. He was the son of Jacob Bauer Jr and Anna Elizabeth Burger.[1]

Jacob departed Le Havre, Manche, Basse-Normandie, France and arrived in New York, New York, USA on 23 May 1842.[1]

In the 1850 census Jacob (age 15) was living with his parents in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne, Pennsylvania, USA.[2]

In 1862 according to a city directory Jacob (age about 25) was living in Leavenworth, Kansas, USA.[3]

In 1872 according to a city directory Jacob (age about 35) was living in Leavenworth, Kansas, USA.[4]

In 1875 Jacob (age about 38) was living in Leavenworth, Leavenworth, Kansas, USA.[5]

In 1875 according to a city directory Jacob (age about 38) was living in Leavenworth, Leavenworth, Kansas, USA.[6]

In 1877 according to a city directory Jacob (age about 40) was living in Leavenworth, Kansas, USA.[7]

Jacob died at the age of 42 on 22 May 1878 in Leavenworth, Kansas, USA and was buried in Lansing, Leavenworth County, Kansas, United States of America.

In the 1880 census Jacob (age 44) was living in Cincinnati, Hamilton, Ohio, USA with his wife Wilhemina and two children. Marital status: Married; Relation to Head of House: Self.[8]
