After Julie's birth in May 1850, she and her Mother, Maria Magdalena Elisabeth Labuhn, lived with Maria's brother, Christoph Friedrich (Fritz) Labuhn, and his wife Ann. Julie's father, Georg Carl Friedrich Bauer's whereabouts are unknown. After October 1850, Maria's whereabouts are also unknown. Ann Labuhn was born in Vindinge, Svendborg, Denmark, the same town as Lars Hansen who came to Bendigo in 1862.
Fritz came to Bendigo around 1857. Ann and Julie came in 1860.
Julie's name is shown as Bauer on the marriage certificate, as are the names of her birth parents.[1]
