John Baugh died intestate around October 1761 [5]. Son John turned 21 years of age between the time of his father’s death and the court proceedings to settle the estate [6] [7].

John Baugh died owning 350 acres at Cathole on the Appomattox River. This was probably located east of Ashen Creek between Point of Rocks and Port Walthall. (The original Baugh holdings there around 1700, became part of the Bolling's Cobbs plantation.)

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:

Hi, I am wondering if you know any more about the Cathole Plantation and its various owners. It appears in 1746, William Pride sold some land to William Walthall that included the "Cathole Fishing Place." In 1773, John Baugh sold Cathole to John Martin, the son of Christopher Martin (supervisor at John Bolling's warehouse). Later, John Martin left the property to his son John, along with a gun named "Bolling." In turn, in 1799, John Martin Jr. left the gun "Bolling" to his half-brother Thomas Nelson Cogbill, and the plantation to his friend Edward Goode. I am particularly interested in why the gun would be named Bolling, and found it interesting that your profile here suggests John Baugh's son might have been named John Bolling Baugh.
