Emelia was born on Feb 2, 1869 to Olof Magnus Jonnson Bauman and Kajsa Ericksdotter at Ringstad in Frykerud, Värmland, Sweden. [1] Emilia Elenora lived here with her parents and siblings until her father left for North America on May 12, 1882. The rest of the family followed on May 5, 1884.[2]
