Biography

Tryphasia Baxter was born in May 1854 at Pennsylvania, USA.[1] She appeared on the census of 10 Aug. 1860 in the household of her parents, John Baxter and Almeda (Shores) Baxter, at Sheshequin Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.[2]

She married Charles Houghtalen circa 1872[3]at Burlington Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.

She and Charles Houghtalen appeared on the census of 4 June 1880 at, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.[3] She and Charles appeared on the census of 14 June 1900 at Main St., Athens, Bradford County, Pennsylvania. The family name was spelled Hotalen. She appeared on the census of 5 Jane 1920 in the household of her son, Harry H. Hotalen, at Waverly, Tioga County, New York.[4] She was a servant in private home in 1930 at Windham, Bradford County, Pennsylvania when she appeared on the census of 2 May 1930 at Windham, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.[5]

Tryphasia died on 19 June 1937[6] at Bradford County, Pennsylvania, at age 83.[7]
