Biography

When John Weir Baxter was born on 19 December 1884, in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland, United Kingdom, his father, John Baxter, was 33 and his mother, Christina Brown Weir, was 28. He married Mildred Elmira Powers on 30 June 1927, in Val Verda, Davis, Utah, United States.^[1] They were the parents of at least 2 sons. He immigrated to Utah, United States in 1925 and lived in Tradeston, Lanarkshire, Scotland, United Kingdom in 1891.^[2]

In the 1901 census John (age 16), Clerk, was the son of John Baxter at 95 South Portland St, Glasgow Govan, Lanarkshire.^[3]

He registered for military service in 1915.^[4] He died on 12 February 1939, in Park City, Summit, Utah, United States, at the age of 54,^[5] and was buried in Park City Cemetery, Park City, Summit, Utah, United States.
