Biography

Sarah Ann Baxter was born in Canada^[1] in 1870^[2] and married Armour James MacFarland on July 1, 1895 in Kings, New Brunswick, Canada.^[3] Sarah's husband stated in his US federal naturalization paperwork that he immigrated to the USA in November 1896; Sarah was, in all likelihood, with him. So, although it's known for certain that they were living in Hartford, Connecticut at least by 1919,^[1] they had probably settled there much earlier (perhaps by late 1896 or early 1897).

Sarah passed away in 1920, probably in Hartford, Connecticut,^[2] though the exact date is not yet known. She was buried at Zion Hill Cemetery in Hartford, Connecticut. ^[2]
