Charles Baxter was born in Scotland.

Biography

Charles was born on 18 Nov 1863 at 56 George Street, Paisley. [1] He was the son of Robert Gardner Baxter and Catherine (Moodie) Baxter.

The Baxter family were living at 23 Queen Street in 1881. Charles, then 17, was working as a wood turner. [2] He was later occupied as a brickmaker.[3]

He never married. [4]

Charles died on 8 Nov 1913.[4] He was buried at Woodside Cemetery.[3]

Research Notes

Charles' age is recorded as 48 on his death certificate and 45 in Woodside records. He was in fact 49 (he would have been 50 in 10 days).
