Biography
John was born in 1776 in either Baltimore or Frederick County, Maryland. He was the son of Benjamin Baxter and Mary Durbin. He passed away in 1823 and is reportedly buried at Baxters Ridge Cemetery in what is now Carroll County, Ohio.
