Judge John Baxter was born in 1819. He was the son of William Baxter and Cassie Lee.
US Politician, Law Figure. He served as a Member of the North Carolina House of Commons from 1842 to 1843, 1846 to 1848, and 1852 to 1857, and as a Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit in 1877.
He passed away in 1886.
