Research Note The two men connected as her sons, George and Thomas Baxter, definitely existed, originated in England, were literate, and played significant roles in New Amsterdam and its transition to New York. But no contemporary sources for their parentage, town & county of birth, and point of emigration have yet been found. There are no sources for this Alice Baxter; her profile should be retained only to connect the two brothers. Halsey Bullen
