DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:
Based on the 11 Apr 2018 comment from Bruce Maple, and the fact that none of the children attributed to this John Bayless and his wife Mary Bayles are the same as the documented children on the profile of Bayless-82, I've detached Daniel Bayles and Sarah Ludlam as his parents. It appears that the birth and death information on this profile (birth 27 Apr 1727 and death abt 1784) belong to the other John Bayles-309. It is likely that they also need to be changed.
This person was not a son of Daniel Bayles. This "conjecture" has no basis in fact. Daniel's son John Bayles inherited land in Middlesex County, New Jersey, and he lived and died there.
