Biography

Church of Ireland Clergy

Henry O'Neale Bayley was born in 1757 in Nenagh, Tipperary, Ireland. His father was John Bayley (1724 - 1797) and his mother was Martha or Bridget nee Holmes born about 1730.

Henry Bayley was first educated by a Mr Brown of Castlelyons. He attended Trinity College Dublin in 1774 aged 17. He graduated with a BA in 1779.[1]

He was ordained 19 March 1780. He was rector and vicar at Kilquane from 1782 and rector of Nenagh from 1803.[2]

Henry married Anne Penelope Grueber on June 3, 1783, in Dublin, Dublin, Ireland. They had 16 children in 21 years.
