Biography

Francis Baylie of Framlingham, Suffolk and New England.

Birth: estimated at about 1580, based on birth of his daughter, Martha (Baylie) Collins in 1609.

Possibly the same person as Francis Baylie, the shipbuilder.

1638-10-20: Certificate of Edward Duke, sheriff of Suffolk, of returns made to him of defaulters to the ship-money tax for 1637. Among the defaulters were: Hundred of Loes, Framlingham, Francis Baylie, gone with his family to New England, 40. 4d.[1]
