Walter Bayly was born on the 18 November 1869 in Waitara Taranaki, New Zealand. He was the son of Thomas Bayly and Ann Rundle. [1]
He married [[Standish-1026|Mary (Standish) Bayly on the 18 February 1896 in New Zealand, [2]. They had five children.
Walter passed away on the 20 August 1950 in Auckland, New Zealand age 80.

Walter was a New Zealand rugby representative. He played one match for his country, against the touring New South Wales side in 1894. His brother Alfred captained the All Blacks and four other brothers also played for Taranaki.
