Moses Sperry Beach was born on 7 March 1776 in Wallingford, New Haven, Connecticut, United States. Moses was the son of Moses Beach (1726–1805) and his wife, Parthena Tallman Beach (unknown–1793).^[1]

Moses first married Lucretia Yale (1778–1800) on 1 January 1797 in Wallingford, New Haven, Connecticut, United States.^[2] Children:
