Biography

John P Beach was born about 1766 in Parsippany, Morris, New Jersey. He was the son of Gershom Beach and Elizabeth Salter. He owned a farm outside of Lewiston, New York, which was ravaged by the British during the War of 1812. After the war he filed a claim for damages which included the loss of his house and barns, livestock and cash. His estate was probated in Niagara County, New York, in 1824. [1]
