Lillian Beach was the daughter of Joseph Parnell Beach and Ella Vilas (Platt) Beach. She was named in her father's obituary.[1] After her father's death in February 1900, in the census of that year Lillian was shown boarding with her aunt Emely Halsted (a sister of her father) at Appleton, Wisconsin, with her birth date recorded as June 1886.[2]
Her aunt had moved to Colorado by 1910, and Lillian was living with her and other family members there, with her age recorded as 25.[3] In 1930 and 1940, Lillian was an inmate of the Colorado State Home and Training School for Mental Defectives,[4][5] and the 1940 Census is the last record found of her.
