Ada was born between May and September 1875 in Edmonton, Middlesex.[1][2]
Ada married Elwin Williams on 3 Sep 1901 at Winchmore Hill Cong church, Edmonton. Elwin's father is given as Percy Llewellyn Williams (deceased) which does not fit with some records from India! Ada's father: Joseph Edmund Beadle, independent means. Elwin: bachelor, Commercial clerk, 29 years, residence 5 Old Christchurch Rd, Bournemouth. Ada: 26, spinster, Herbert Lodge, Winchmore Hill. [3]
A Bristol directory shows a Miss Ada Williams, dress maker, at Gwyn Street, St Paul's, Bristol in 1906.[4]
Ada's son Cyril Percy Elwin Williams (1907-1971) was baptised on 11 December 1907 in St Katharine, Knowle, Bristol, England. The parents are named as Elwin Thomas and Ada Theresa Williams, of 58 Windsor Terrace, Traveller. Note that Elwin had died in April 1907.
Ada died at the age of 42 on 8 June 1918 in Auckland district, New Zealand. Probate to Clara Joyce, widow.[5] Newspaper report: "On June 8 1918 at the Auckland Hospital. Ada Theresa Williams widow of the late Elwyn Thomas Williams, of Croydon, England; aged 4x years." [6]

Who is this family? (Leslie b 1893) and Clara Joyce widow is benefactor of Ada's will.
A mystery in Croydon! Elwin gives his address, when he registered for the "Empress of Britain" as a steward, as 43 Lambeth Rd. This is probably the Lambeth Rd in Croydon.
Liz G found this: In the 1911 census, a Beadle family was living at 43 Lambeth Street, Croydon (not there in 1901):
Their marriage – William John Beadle, son of Robert Henry Beadle, a carman married Emily Martha Veasey on 25 December 1908 at Emmanuel Church Camberwell. Both were of 42 Cork Street.
The father, Robert Henry Beadle was born abt 1862 (GRO has 1861 Newington, mother's maiden name Wood), married Alice Greatrix in 1884. William John B was born 21 Oct 1888. In the 1891 census in Camberwell they are at 17 Cork St. In the 1901 census Robert and Alice are at 42 Cork St, Camberwell with 7 children. In the 1911 census Robert and Alice are at 126 Waterloo Street, Camberwell with 6 children
"But this does suggest that, if Elwin was using this address in 1907 it was because he and his wife had been staying there at some point with another Beadle family – maybe Robert Henry Beadle? "
