It was September 25, 1958 when Susan passed away. She was buried in Antioch Christian Church Cemetery, 5 miles west of Five Points, AL on Highway 81.

Mrs. Susan E. Carden (ROANOKE RT. 4)

Mrs. Susan Ella Carden of Roanoke Rt. 4, age 88, passed away at the home of her son, Escar L. Carden, Roanoke Rt. 4, about six o'clock Thursday morning, Sept. 25.

Mrs. Carden is survived by three sons, Emory C. Carden of Fairfax, Dewitt E. Carden of Huese, Ark., and Escar L. Carden of Roanoke Rt. 4; three daughters, Mrs. G. G. Vickers of Montgomery, Mrs. J. H. Royston of Albertville, and Mrs. Lela Lee of LaFayette; 19 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Ernest Beaird of Albertville.

Funeral services for Mrs. Carden were conducted Friday afternoon at three o'clock from the Antioch Congregational Christian Church. The Rev. Roy Walker and the Rev. Charles Bell officiated. Interment was in the church cemetery, Quattlebaums Funeral Home in charge of funeral arrangements.
