Biography

Harriet Beal was born in about 1811 at Witney in Oxfordshire. She was baptised at the parish church of Witney on 3 March 1811, as the daughter of Anthony and Ann Beal. ^{[1] [2] [3]}

George Kirtland, bachelor, of full age, a tailor, of Witney, son of George Kirtland (deceased), servant; and Harriett Beal, spinster, of full age, of Witney, daughter of Anthony Beal (deceased), fuller; were married at the parish church of Witney in Oxfordshire on 19 May 1850. ^[2]

In 1861 Harriet Kirtland was living in Back Street in Faringdon in Berkshire with her husband George. Her age was given as 48, implying a birth date in 1812 or 1813. Her birthplace was given as Witney, Oxfordshire. ^[3]

Harriet died in 1864, at the age of 52. ^[4]

She had died by 1871, when George Kirtland was a widower.
