Biography

Jane (Beall) Edmonston was a Marylander.

1678 Birth and Parents

Jane Beall's birth year is not known. It appears most often as 1678. [1] [2]

Her birth year sometimes appears as 1685. [2][3]

All of the above sources are in error regarding her place of birth, giving it as Prince George's County, Maryland, which was not created until 1695. Interestingly, both years are presented by different SAR applications.

Mike Marshall shows Jane Beall born in 1678 in Calvert County, Maryland, the daughter of Col. Ninian Beall and his wife Ruth.[4]

1695 First Marriage to Archibald Edmonston

She married first in 1695. [1][5]

The LNAB of Ruth, wife of Ninian Beall, should continue to remain "Unknown." The idea that she was born a Moore has been around for a hundred years and repeated in some books, but there is no actual evidence to confirm it. The matter is fully discussed in her biography under "Research Notes."

Please note the comments on Ruth's profile about her being a Moore. I kept the last name there but her profile is still unknown at this time until information is confirmed.

My Jane Beall-1243 Edmonston is the same as your 101. I propose a merge. I wonder why your Jane didn't show up when I put mine in.
1st child: James Archibald Edmonston Sr. b. 1697., it stands to reason that Jane his mother would be Born 1674 see connected link to familysearch.org
