Will of NINIAN BEALL, JR., Prince George;s Co.; written 1 Nov 1710; probate 6 Jan 1710/11.

Inheritance 1731 from Mother

Mary Beall Edmonston was left six silver spoons in the will of her mother, Sarah [?Bell] Magruder, of 1731. [1]

First Marriage 1733

"She m. by 1733 James Edmonston, d. by 1753; s/o Archibald Edmonston and Jane Beall. [3] She was m. to him as late as 1740 when she and James established claim to her inheritance of Addition to Bacon Hall willed by her father. No second wife can be established for Capt. Edmonston who did not d. until 1753." [3]

Second Marriage 1754

"By 1754, Mary, widow of James, was m. to Samuel Turner, b. ca 1727, age 82 at time of death in 1809. Mary, a minor in 1710, was thus at least 17 years older than this Samuel Turner." [3]

"Records of Rock Creek Parish show that a child was b. to a Samuel Turner and wife Mary on 19 Oct 1762. At this time, 8 years after the death of Capt. Edmonston, Mary Beall would have been more than 52 years old and not likely to have had a child. Thus, it appears that Capt. Edmonston may have had a second marriage to a Mary or Samuel Turner had a second wife named Mary." [3]

Death

There is no record of her death in any of the sources reviewed.
