Born to Albert Beam and Sarah Halsell in 1765 in North Carolina, her father, ALBERT, was 32, and her mother, SARAH, was 25.

Said Albert Beam died intestate leaving sons John Beam, Jesse Beam, Albert Beam (Jr.), and William Beam, as well as daughters Edith Beam Coleman, Mary Beam Coleman, Sarah Beam Coleman, and Dorcas Beam, and grandchildren Ferdinan Beam, Edith Beam and Nancy Beam Coleman, all children of Elijah Beam son of Albert Beam (Jr.), who died before his father. Said land is on Beaver Creek in Fairfield County. Dated 7 January 1817. Dower rights released by Nancy Coleman, wife of David Coleman, Recorded 14 April 1817.
