Jesse Beam died Jul 1958 (aged 83–84) and was buried in the Esbon Cemetery in Esbon, Jewell County, Kansas.[1]

Obituary - Junction City Daily Union - July 1958[2]:

"Jesse Beam, age 83, of 216 East Second Street, Junction City, Kans., passed away Wednesday evening, July 9, at the city hospital. Mr. Beam had been in failing health since last December, and had been confined to the hospital the last four days preceding his death. Mr. Beam was born December 16, 1874, in Mitchell County, Kans.
"On September 26, 1897, he was united in marriage to Mary Miller. To this union was born the following children: Gladys, who preceded him in death; Henry of Shawnee, Kans.; Mrs. Cecil Shackleton of Smith Center, Kans.; Harold of Esbon, Kans.; Mrs. Virginia Steinhardt of Owensville, Mo.; Clifford of South San Francisco, Calif.; Mrs. Jeanette Moudy of Pittsburg, Kans. Besides these children, he is survived by 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Eells of Concordia, Kans., and Mrs. Bertha Chandler of Grand Junction, Colo., and two brothers, Fred Beam of Oberlin, Kans., and John Beam of Mankato, Kans., survive him.
"In 1935 he moved to Eskridge, Kans., and later to Junction City, Kans., where, on December 11, 1941, he was united in marriage to Grace Miller, who survives him. The following surviving step-children mourn his passing: Floyd Miller of Junction City; Mrs. Helen Fleetwood of Memphis, Tenn.: Ray Miller of Junction City; Wilbur Miller and Earl Miller of Wichita, Kans.; Mrs. Florence Bean of Junction City; William Miller of Long Beach, Calif.; and Mrs. Jean De Moss of Topeka. Mr. Beam was a loyal and faithful member of the First Methodist Church of Junction City.
"Relatives and friends from a distance attending the funeral services at Esbon Sunday afternoon, July 13, were: Mr. and Mrs. Fred Beam, Mr. and Mrs. Shirley Cochran and Phyllis, and Mrs. Mabel Allen of Oberlin, Kans.; Mr. and Mrs. Max Beam of Washington, Kans.; Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Glover and John of Emporia, Kans.; Mr. and Mrs. John Beam of Mankato; Mr. and Mrs. Claude Eells of Concordia; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Beam and family of Smith Center: Lt. and Mrs. Harold Beam of Knob Noster, Mo.; Rev. and Mrs. Henry Moudy and George Dinneen of Pittsburg, Kans.; Mrs. Virginia Steinhardt of Owensville, Mo.; Mr. George McCammon and Mr. and Mrs. Rodney McCammon of Mankato; Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Miller and family of Junction City; and Mr. Henry Beam of Shawnee, Kans.
