Biography

Crawford Carlton Bean married Martha Alice Sanders, the daughter of George Sanders and Phoebe (Saunders) Sanders.

Crawford entered the service as a private in August, 1862. He joined at Stevenson, Jackson County, Alabama. He served in Company B of the 4th of the 33rd Alabama, and was discharged the end of December 1864.

Crawford and Martha lived at Stevenson, Jackson County, Alabama, where all of their children were born. Crawford became a Morman in 1901.
