Biography
Nancy Jane Bean is the daughter of William Camp Bean and Elizabeth (Houser) Bean.
Nancy's father died of measles, while he was a soldier in the Union Army, during the Civil War. He died in the hospital on March 15, 1863. Nancy was 11 years of age at that time.
Nancy's mother married remarried on December 19, 1868, to John W. Farmer, and moved to Roane County, and then to Anderson County, Tennessee.
On March 13, 1874, in Anderson County, Tennessee, Nancy Jane married William Cooper.
